Ailes, Overholt Land On Great Midwest Baseball All-Tournament Team

Ashland University junior right-handed pitcher Griffin Ailes and graduate shortstop Collin Overholt earned positions on the 2026 Great Midwest Athletic Conference baseball all-tournament team, as revealed by the league on Tuesday (May 12) afternoon.
 
Ailes twirled eight scoreless innings in an 8-0 win over Ohio Dominican on Thursday (May 7) night, allowing just two hits and four walks and striking out eight.
 
Overholt finished the tourney hitting .714 (10-for-14) with three runs scored, a triple, two RBIs and a stolen base. Included were a four-hit game and a three-hit contest.
 
Ashland went 2-2 at the conference tournament, and ended the 2026 season at 37-16 overall and 23-8 in the Great Midwest.
