Becker Gains Second First-Team All-Region Honor Of 2026

For the second time in less than 10 days, Ashland University sophomore right-handed pitcher Drew Becker is a first-team All-Midwest Region selection.
 
On May 18, it was an honor from the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). On Wednesday (May 27), it was a citation from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), as he was placed on the ABCA/Rawlings first team.
 
Also the 2026 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year and first-team all-league honoree, Becker finished 6-1 with a 2.93 earned-run average. He struck out 92 in 67 2/3 innings, allowing just 49 hits and 18 walks in 12 starts this spring.
 
Opponents hit .201 against Becker this past season, and his WHIP was 0.99.
 
Ashland baseball ended 2026 at 37-16 overall and 23-8 in the Great Midwest, qualifying for the conference tournament.
