Franks Lands ABCA Region All-Defensive Team Position

As announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) on Thursday (June 18) afternoon, Ashland University graduate outfielder Chris Franks is a member of the 2026 ABCA NCAA Division II Midwest Region All-Defensive Team.
 
Franks did not make an error in 114 total chances (109 putouts, five assists) this spring as both a right fielder and center fielder.
 
At the plate, Franks hit .315 to go with 47 runs scored, 14 doubles, five triples, eight home runs, 41 RBIs and 16 stolen bases.
 
Ashland baseball ended this past season at 37-16 overall and 23-8 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, qualifying for the conference tournament.
