Five AU Baseball Players Earn Spots On CSC Academic All-District Team

The 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) baseball Academic All-District teams were released on Tuesday (June 2) afternoon, and five Ashland University players were selected for inclusion on the NCAA Division II team:
  • Junior right-handed pitcher Jackson Grine sported a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average as an Exercise Science major through the spring 2026 semester. During the 2026 season, Grine, a second-team All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference selection, was 6-0 with a 3.34 earned-run average and 39 strikeouts in 16 appearances (nine starts), over 64 2/3 innings.
  • Junior catcher Nate King has a 3.84 cumulative GPA as a Criminal Justice major. This spring, King hit .284 with 29 runs scored, seven doubles, four home runs, 34 RBIs and four stolen bases.
  • Sophomore outfielder Sean Krueckeberg is an Accounting major with a 3.80 cumulative GPA. This past season saw Krueckeberg hit .284 with 43 runs scored, seven doubles, four triples, seven home runs, 32 RBIs and 14 stolen bases.
  • Graduate shortstop Collin Overholt had a 3.54 cumulative undergrade GPA as a Finance major, and has a 3.89 postgrad GPA in the online MBA program. A .369 hitter in 2026, Overholt also collected 53 runs scored, 19 doubles, a triple, eight home runs, 37 RBIs and nine stolen bases. He was voted to the 2026 Great Midwest all-tournament team.
  • Sophomore right-handed pitcher Ben Zink has a 3.63 cumulative GPA as a Business Administration major. Zink was 4-3 with four saves and a 4.96 ERA this spring, striking out 29 in 32 2/3 innings over 20 relief appearances.
The 2026 CSC Academic All-America baseball teams will be revealed on June 23.
 
Ashland baseball ended this spring at 37-16 overall and 23-8 in the Great Midwest, qualifying for the conference tournament.
