Becker Lauded As 2026 D2CCA First-Team All-Region Choice

A standout season for Ashland University sophomore right-handed pitcher Drew Becker continues to result in top postseason honors.
 
After earning 2026 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year and first-team all-league laurels, Becker on Monday (May 18) morning landed on the first team of the 2026 Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Midwest Region team.
 
In 12 starts this spring, Becker finished 6-1 with a 2.93 earned-run average. He struck out 92 in 67 2/3 innings, allowing just 49 hits and 18 walks.
 
Opponents hit .201 against Becker this season, and his WHIP was 0.99.
 
Ashland baseball ended 2026 at 37-16 overall and 23-8 in the Great Midwest, qualifying for the conference tournament.
