The Ashland University softball team was able to make its way into the Top 8 of the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Rankings.
On Wednesday, April 29, the Eagles were officially slotted in fifth place, ahead of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference championships that are set to begin later that day.
Ashland concluded its regular season, posting a 29-15 overall record with a 17-6 mark in conference play. This past weekend, the Eagles downed the Hillsdale College Chargers, 2-0 in a series sweep to conclude regular season action.
In the conference tournament, the Eagles will match up against the Northwood Timberwolves for the opening round. The two sides will clash at 6:30 p.m. EST, pending the weather.
