The Ashland University football team (3-6 overall, 3-4 Great Midwest Athletic Conference) will play the first of two road games to conclude the 2026 season on Saturday (Nov. 7) at noon at longtime rival Hillsdale (6-3, 4-3).
As has been the case since 1970, the Eagles and Chargers will play for the right to keep the Traveling Trophy until the next meeting.
"This week, we always talk from our Sunday meeting about what the significance of this game is and the history behind the game," said Ashland head coach Doug Geiser, "and what it means to people, not only in the Ashland community, but in the Hillsdale community.
"Just have a great appreciation of the importance that we place in this game."
