Coming off its first road win of the 2026 season, the Ashland University football team (2-5 overall, 2-3 Great Midwest Athletic Conference) will return to Jack Miller Stadium/Martinelli Field for the first of back-to-back home games - Saturday (Oct. 24) at 1 p.m. vs. Kentucky Wesleyan (0-7, 0-5).
The Eagles topped the conference's other Kentucky entry, Thomas More, 48-10, on the road in Week 7.
"This is probably a credit to our older guys, our captains, our lettermen. We had one of our most spirited weeks of practice last week," said Ashland head coach
Doug Geiser. "So having the result we did was maybe a confirmation of the effort that we put in.
"We've been going through it, where the guys are playing hard and not getting the payoff. Being able to step it up even more and not draining the enthusiasm, being able to fight through some of that to get the victory was probably the thing I was most proud of during the week."
Home contests against the Panthers, then Senior Day at 1 p.m. on Oct. 31 vs. No. 10-ranked Northwood will conclude the Eagles' 2026 home slate.
