The 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District football teams were released on Tuesday (Dec. 19) afternoon, and six Ashland University football players made the rolls.
- Sophomore center Ethan Enders has a 3.61 cumulative grade-point average through the 2023 spring semester as an Accounting major. A second-team All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference selection this fall, Enders was the anchor of an offensive line which tied for the third-fewest sacks allowed in 2023 (seven).
- Senior wide receiver Jake McLoughlin sports a 3.81 graduate GPA and graduated with a 3.54 undergrad GPA as a Finance major. He caught 17 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns and added seven total tackles, and grabbed the game-winning two-point conversion in the fourth overtime of the 37-35 home win over Findlay on Nov. 4.
- Junior wide receiver Tony Pannunzio has a 3.87 cumulative GPA as a Biology major. He caught 24 passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns this past season, while recording 13 total tackles and a blocked field goal.
- Sophomore kicker A.J. Rhodes is a Finance and Accounting major who has a cumulative GPA of 3.75. A second-team all-conference selection, Rhodes was 43-for-46 on extra points and 8-of-16 on field goals for 67 points, good for second on the team.
- Junior defensive tackle Collin Strong has a 3.63 cumulative GPA as a Religion major. He finished the 2023 campaign with 28 total tackles (15 solo), 9½ tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception and a blocked kick.
- Sophomore safety Bobby Young sports a 3.72 cumulative GPA as a Supply Chain Management major. In 2023, Young had 57 total tackles (36 solo), to go with a tackle for loss, an interception, and a team-high seven pass breakups.
The 2023 CSC Academic All-America teams will revealed on Jan. 23.

With an eight-game winning streak to finish the season, the Eagles ended 2023 at 9-3 overall and 8-1 in the Great Midwest. The win streak is the program's longest since 2017 (11 games).

Ashland's win streak will be the second-longest in D-II when the 2024 season begins – behind only 2023 national champion Harding (19 in a row).
