The Ashland University women's track and field team has started off the 2026 outdoor season strong.
Following the excellent showings the team had at the Wooster Invitational and Oliver Nikoloff Invitational, they have jumped from 33rd in the nation all the way to 16th. They are now the highest ranked Great Midwest Athletic Conference team, with University of Findlay Oilers being the only other in-conference squad ranked within the Top 25. They currently sit 21st.
The Eagles will next look to travel to three different meets this coming weekend with hopes of climbing further up the rankings.Â
On Friday, April 10, some Eagles will travel to the John Homon Open in Alliance, Ohio, while other groups will travel to the Tennessee Invite in Knoxville, Tenn., and the Bison Outdoor Classic in Lewisburg, Penn.
