Following a busy weekend competing at three different outdoor meets, the Ashland University track and field team has climbed the USTFCCCA Division II national rankings further.
On Tuesday, April 14, the Eagles received word that the men were now ranked within the Top 25 at the No. 22 spot, while the women were now ranked deeper in the Top 25 at the No. 14 spot. Both of these rankings show just how good the Eagles have placed and performed as of recent.
This past weekend, the AU track and field team, who had sent three different groups to compete at the John Homon Open, Tennessee Invite and Bison Outdoor Classic, saw nine total athletes post provisional marks.
That type of success has almost been a regular now within the program, and if it can continue, the Eagles have a chance to climb up the rankings even more in the coming weeks.
Up next, the Eagles will next look to travel to the Otterbein Twilight in Westerville, Ohio, on Friday, April 17. Another group will travel that same day to the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Va.
