As announced by both Ashland University and Dayton on Tuesday (Sept. 24) afternoon, the two schools' men's basketball teams will play an exhibition game on Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. at the UD Arena.

John Ellenwood. "You'll be hard-pressed to find a better arena and crowd than at the University of Dayton, anywhere in the country.
"It's an excellent opportunity for us to see how good we can be against an opponent that is traditionally extremely strong at the highest level of the NCAA."
The Eagle men were 17-11 overall and 11-9 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference in 2023-24, qualifying for the league tournament for a third consecutive season. Over the last decade, the Eagle men have won 195 games, earned two conference tournament titles, and reached the NCAA Division II postseason four times.
Ashland's men return junior forward
Maceo Williams, a 2023-24 second-team All-Great Midwest performer, in 2024-25. Williams was the lone Eagle to start all 28 games last season, averaging 14.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game, and shooting 65.8 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from 3-point range and 67.6 percent from the free-throw line.
Williams' field-goal percentage was sixth-best in NCAA Division II.
In 2023-24, the Flyers ended 25-8 overall and 14-4 in the Atlantic 10, qualifying for both the A-10 and NCAA Tournaments.
