A second consecutive sub-300 round on Tuesday (April 9) left Ashland University's men's golf team in a tie for ninth place to end the 18-team Ken Partridge Invitational at the University of Indianapolis.
The Eagles' tourney score was 316-293-295—904. Grand Valley State won at 295-279-289—863, Missouri S&T was second (303-281-285—869), and Indianapolis was third (301-279-293—873).
Fifth-year
Andrew Kolar was Ashland's top performer throughout the tournament, ending in a tie for 12
th place individually at 76-71-74—221. He had four birdies on Tuesday and nine for the tournament.
Junior
Matthew McMullen tied for 19
th at 79-71-73—223, and had three birdies on Tuesday and eight in the tournament. Sophomore
Carter Mishler ended tied for 28
th at 78-71-76—225, and with two Tuesday birdies and five for the tournament.
Fifth-year
Logan Thomas (tied for 77
th, 83-80-72—235, four Tuesday birdies, five for the tournament) and sophomore
Lukas Schreck (95
th, 86-81-79—246, one Tuesday birdie, five for the tournament) rounded out the AU team showing.
