On Sunday (April 7) in Indianapolis, Ind., Ashland University's men's golf team played the first 18 holes of the Ken Partridge Invitational.
The Eagles ended the first round with a team score of 316 – and in 14
th place in the 18-team Midwest Region field. Grand Valley State is first (295), while both Missouri-St. Louis and the host Greyhounds are second (301).
Fifth-year
Andrew Kolar birdied the first two holes on Sunday, finishing in a tie for 17
th place individually with a round of 76. Sophomore
Carter Mishler is tied for 33
rd after an opening-round 78 and a birdie, while junior
Matthew McMullen is tied for 43
rd with a 79 and a birdie.
Rounding out AU's team effort on Day 1 were fifth-year
Logan Thomas (tied for 84
th, 83) and sophomore
Lukas Schreck (tied for 94
th, 86).
