Eagle Men Maintain Third Place At Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff

Following the second round of the three-round Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff on Friday (March 8), Ashland University's men's golf team continued to be in third place in the eight-team field.
 
The Eagles stand at 297-298—595 through 36 holes – 20 shots behind first-place Winona State (284-291—575) and six strokes behind second-place Kentucky Wesleyan (288-301—589).
 
Sophomore Carter Mishler and fifth-year Andrew Kolar are in the top 10 individually heading into the final round. Mishler is in sixth place at 72-74—146, and Kolar is tied for seventh at 75-72—147. Mishler had two birdies on Friday and has five for tournament, while Kolar recorded one Friday birdie and has two over the first two rounds.
 
Junior Matthew McMullen is tied for 17th (72-81—153, one Friday birdie, two for the tournament), sophomore Scott Armstrong is tied for 21st at 78-76—154 (one Friday birdie, two for the tournament), fifth-year Logan Thomas is tied for 29th (79-79—158, two tournament birdies), and sophomore Brandon Nowery is 45th (94-76—170, one Friday birdie).
