Men’s Golf Opens Play At Findlay Spring Invite

The first two rounds of the Midwest Region-filled Findlay Spring Invitational were played on Monday (March 25) in Richmond, Ky., and Ashland University's men's golf team ended the first 36 holes in 16th place in the 18-team field.
 
Ashland played Day 1 at 304-311—615. Wayne State is the team leader going into Round 3 (281-291—572), followed by Davenport (292-286—578) and the host Oilers (290-290—580).
 
Graduate Andrew Kolar led the Eagle effort on Monday at 75-73—148 and with five birdies, and is tied for 29th individually. Sophomore Carter Mishler also had five birds on the day, and is tied for 58th at 76-78—154.
 
Sophomore Lukas Schreck recorded an eagle on his day, to go with three birdies, and is tied for 66th (78-78—156). Junior Matthew McMullen is tied for 75th (75-83—158, four birdies), and graduate Logan Thomas is tied for 86th (83-82—165, three birdies).
