Ashland University's men's golf team played the third and final round of Ferris State's B&R Investments Bulldog Classic on Tuesday (Sept. 19).
The Eagles ended in 10
th place in the 16-team field, with a team score of 292-304-306—902. The host Bulldogs won the event going away (293-293-280—866), followed by Wayne State (295-295-292—882) and Northwood (300-286-297—883).
NOTABLES
- Fifth-year Logan Thomas was the Eagles' top performer in the tournament, and finished in a tie for 23rd individually at 72-77-75—224. Thomas had one birdie on Tuesday, and five in the tournament.
- Junior Matthew McMullen tied for 30th at 74-73-78—225, and had two birdies on Tuesday and five for the event, while sophomore Scott Armstrong tied for 35th at 72-77-77—226 (one Tuesday birdie, eight overall).
- Fifth-year Andrew Kolar (tied for 41st, 74-77-76—227, two Tuesday birdies, five overall) and sophomore Dylan Dunn (67th, 74-81-82—237, five birdies overall) rounded out the AU showing.
- Individual medalist honors went to Saginaw Valley State's Shea Harmeson (73-71-66—210).
