Following the third and final round on Tuesday (March 28) at the Findlay Spring Invitational at Lexington, Ky., Ashland University's men's golf team ended in a tie for ninth place in the 20-team field.
The Eagles' team score was 295-302-292—889. Missouri S&T won at 288-293-294—865, followed by McKendree at 286-287-294—867 and Tusculum at 287-291-291—869.
Freshman
Carter Mishler led the Ashland effort in the tournament, finishing in a tie for 28
th place individually. He carded 76-76-69—221, and had five birdies on Tuesday.
NOTABLES
- Senior Andrew Kolar tied for 31st (70-75-77—222) and had three Tuesday birdies, while sophomore Matthew McMullen tied for 37th (74-74-75—223) and had a birdie on Tuesday.
- Another senior, Logan Thomas, tied for 59th (75-77-75—227) and had three Tuesday birdies, and sophomore Tyler Gillespie tied for 90th (77-86-73—236) and had four birdies on Tuesday.
- Individual medalist honors went to Missouri S&T's Carl Miltun, who was 10-under par at 70-70-66—206.
