Ashland University's men's golf team turned in its best two rounds of the 2023 fall non-championship season on Monday (Oct. 2), leaving the Eagles in fourth place at the 14-team Kyle Ryman Memorial at the Mohawk Golf & Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio.

The Eagles finished Monday at 289-286—575 – bettering in both rounds their previous low scores of the fall to date of 291 twice.

Ashland's 1-under-par day put it behind only the host Dragons (280-282—562), Malone (286-278—564) and Kentucky Wesleyan (285-283—568).

NOTABLES
- Sophomore Carter Mishler is in the hunt for individual medalist honors after the first 36 holes, ending Monday in third place at 70-68—138. Mishler had five birdies in Round 1, and six in Round 2.
- Both fifth-year Andrew Kolar (73-71—144) and sophomore Dylan Dunn (72-72—144) are tied for 15th place – Kolar with seven Monday birdies, Dunn with nine.
- Junior Matthew McMullen is tied for 35th at 74-75—149 (five Monday birdies). Fifth-year Logan Thomas had a first-round 74 (three birdies), but had to withdraw following an injury.
- Playing as an individual was senior Kota Ando, who is 82nd at 77-85—162 (two Monday birdies).
