Eagle Women Add To Outdoor Nationals Marks At YSU

The Ashland University women's outdoor track and field team added three nationals marks to its 2021 spring total on Friday (April 2) at the Northeast Ohio Quad in Youngstown, Ohio.
 
In the women's hammer throw, junior Carrol Pauley improved upon her provisional mark for the 2021 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, May 27-29 at Grand Valley State, finishing second at 53.53 meters/175-feet-7, while another junior, Makayla Pop, was third with a new provisional distance of 53.24 meters/174-feet-8.
 
Sophomore Erin Sievers earned a new provisional mark in the women's pole vault, finishing third at 3.90 meters/12-feet-9½.
 
Ashland's men and women will compete on Friday (April 9) at the Walsh Invitational.
