Ashland Men Finish In Third Place On Florida Trip

After playing in its third and final round on Saturday (March 7), Ashland University's men's golf team finished in third place at the Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff in Wesley Chapel, Fla.

The Eagles dropped their team scores throughout the week, ending at 327-325-322—974. Ferris State (313-305-302—920) was the team titlist, with Northern Michigan (327-315-315—957) took second.

Freshman Andrew Kolar led the way for Ashland at the end, placing seventh individually at 84-73-81—238. Sophomore Luke Tanner had the Eagles' low round on Saturday, firing a 74 en route to an 11th-place finish (80-88-74—242).

Junior Ben Jones was 14th (86-81-81—248), while freshman Jake Amann was 18th (87-83-86—256).

A pair of freshmen – Caden Gallagher (79-85-85—249, 15th) and Logan Thomas (84-91-85—260, tied for 21st) – played as individuals.

The Ashland men will return to action on March 23-24 at the Findlay Spring Invite.
