Parrett Lands Weekly Great Midwest Award After Wright State Opener

Ashland University sophomore Ava Parrett has earned the first Great Midwest Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week award of her career, as the league announced on Tuesday (Sept. 8) afternoon Parrett is its latest women's cross country honoree.
 
Parrett paced the Eagle women at the season-opening Wright State Mike Baumer Cross Country Classic on Friday (Sept. 4) night, finishing the women's 5K at 18:07.9 and in fifth place overall. Parrett guided the AU women to a third-place team finish.
 
Ashland's women and men will be back in action on Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. at the All-Ohio Classic at Cedarville.
