For the first time in six years, Ashland University's men's cross country team has an all-region performer.
On Monday (Nov. 10) afternoon, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its NCAA Division II all-region teams, and Eagle senior
Nate Slater is on the All-Midwest Region squad.
At the D-II Midwest Regional meet on Saturday (Nov. 8) in Kenosha, Wis., Slater PRed in the men's 10K race, and was the Eagles' top finisher – ending 17
th in 31:17.75. He is the first AU men's all-region runner since
Steven Kapes in 2019.
Slater also earned the highest all-time placement for an Eagle men's runner at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships, finishing in fourth place.
