13 AU Softball Players Earn 2025-26 Easton/NFCA D-II All-America Scholar-Athlete Honor

Thirteen Ashland University softball players have landed spots on the 2025-26 Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) NCAA Division II All-America Scholar-Athlete rolls.

• Sophomore catcher Ella Bruss – 3.85 cumulative grade-point average through the 2026 spring semester as a Nursing major.
• Freshman outfielder Madi Grefe – 3.97 cumulative GPA as an Education (Primary Grades Intervention Specialist PK-5) major.
• Senior pitcher Mady Hannahs – 3.82 cumulative GPA as a Dietetics major.
• Freshman catcher Raelyn Koesters – 3.71 cumulative GPA as an Education (Middle Grades Science-Social Studies Concentration) major.
• Junior outfielder Kate Kujawski – 3.48 cumulative GPA as an Exercise Science major.
• Junior shortstop/catcher Sophia Martin – 3.80 cumulative GPA as an Education (Intermediate Social Studies) major.
• Sophomore pitcher Abby Measel – 3.73 cumulative GPA as an Exercise Science major.
• Junior outfielder Maren Metikosh – 3.80 cumulative GPA as a Marketing major.
• Senior utility Sidney Payton – 3.68 cumulative GPA as a Fine Art major.
• Senior second baseman Danielle Robbins – 3.99 cumulative GPA as an Education (Primary Grades Intervention Specialist PK-5) major.
• Junior shortstop Sophia Smithnosky – 3.68 cumulative GPA as a Marketing major.
• Freshman infielder Kyndall Spicer – 3.90 cumulative GPA as a Forensic Biology major.
• Senior outfielder Ashley Veldheer – 4.00 cumulative GPA as a Sport Management major.

Ashland softball finished the 2026 season at 33-19 overall and 17-6 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The Eagles were runners-up in the Great Midwest Tournament, and reached the NCAA Division II postseason and won a D-II playoff game for the first time in 11 years.
