AT ASHLAND UNIVERSITY

  • Summers is in her second year as Ashland University's equipment coordinator.
BEFORE ASHLAND UNIVERSITY
  • She came to Ashland from The College of Wooster, where she was manager of equipment operations and assistant coordinator of facilities and events since Aug. 2021.
  • Summers spent her first two years (2019-21) at the College as the assistant softball coach, and continued helping the program in a volunteer capacity.
  • Additionally, Summers gained experience as a recreation intern and later as the basketball officials and scorekeepers supervisors with the City of Wooster, and she was an operations intern at Ashland University and the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
  • Playing for the Eagle softball team, Summers earned second-team National Fastpitch Coaches Association and D2CCA all-region honors as a junior and was a three-time All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team selection.
  • Summers hit 17 career homers and led the team in RBI in two seasons, and was a two-time All-GLIAC Academic Excellence choice.
  • Prior to Ashland, Summers was a two-time All-Ohio selection at nearby Dalton High School, where she also earned two all-district and four first-time All-Wayne County Athletic League honors.
