Prior to the continuation of the 2026 NCAA Division II postseason on Friday (May 15) afternoon, Ashland University senior second baseman
Danielle Robbins earned a top regional honor on Friday morning – being named a second-team All-Midwest Region performer by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
Robbins has started and played in 49 of 50 games so far this spring, hitting a team-high .373 with 42 runs scored, two doubles, three triples, 12 RBIs and 22 stolen bases. Her 88 career stolen bases are the program's career standard.
She is the first Eagle softball player to earn all-region recognition since 2019.
Ashland (32-18) will play in a D-II Midwest split regional elimination game on Friday (May 15) at 1:30 p.m. in Indianapolis, Ind., vs. Tiffin (34-15).
