The Ashland University women's tennis team has snapped a losing spell.
On Sunday, March 29, the Eagles, who played host to the Ursuline College Arrows, looked incredibly sharp on the courts. A mix of doubles and singles matches helped them take down the Arrows, 7-0.
In doubles play, the Eagles set the tone quickly, securing all three pairings. Constanza Arancibia and Evalienna Pryor, Maria Jemio and Ana Penteado, and Anna Corbel and Brittany Witsken, all were able to secure comfortable 6-0 victories.
Then, in singles play, the Eagles replicated such efforts.
Each Eagle won in straight sets, with Arancibia, Penteado, Corbel, Jemio, Witsken and Pryor all earning 6-0, 6-0 victories over their opponents. The clean sweeps across the board are huge for the Eagles at this point in the campaign, as they get into the heart of the 2026 campaign.
Up next, Ashland will prepare to be at home for a three-game set on Friday, April 3, 4 and 5, where they'll take on the Hillsdale Chargers, Northwood Timberwolves and Cedarville Yellow Jackets.Â
