Both of Ashland University's cross country teams got off to strong starts to the 2024 season on Friday (Sept. 6) night at the 5K Tiffelberg Open.
The Eagle women took second place in the seven-team field, ending with 63 team points. Host Tiffin won with 32 team points.

Lily Dowdell turned in a second-place showing individually on Friday night, crossing the finish line in 18:11.1. Rounding out the AU women's scorers were:
Ashland's men also took second place in the seven-team race with 56 team points – behind only the host Dragons (18 team points).
