Ashland University's men's and women's cross country teams competed in their second meet of the 2024 season on Friday (Sept. 20) night, the annual All-Ohio Intercollegiate Classic at Cedarville.
Senior
Lily Dowdell crossed the finish line in the women's 6K race in ninth place, ending with a PR time of 22:58.3. Dowdell led an AU women's group which placed 12
th out of 25 teams (334 team points).
Ashland's next four placers rounding out the team scoring were:
Cedarville won the women's side (37 team points).
The Eagle men placed ninth in the 26-team field, ending with 298 team points in the 8K race. Rio Grande was the men's team winner with 69 points.
Ashland's top five placers on the men's side were:
- Junior Nate Slater, 25th, 26:06.6 (PR).
- Junior Michael Snopik, 31st, 26:15.9.
- Fifth-year Konnor Ray, 83rd, 26:55.6.
- Sophomore Huck Finnegan, 144th, 27:43.7.
- Junior Daylen Madison, 146th, 27:44.5.
