Women’s Golf Concludes Action At Emerald Coast Collegiate

On Tuesday (March 12) in Florida, Ashland University's women's golf team finished play at the Emerald Coast Collegiate, placing 14th in the 17-team field.
 
The Eagles' final team score was 321-309-306—936. Flagler won the event at 290-284-278—852, followed by a two-way tie for second place between Central Missouri (297-297-288—882) and St. Mary's, Texas (302-293-287—882).
 
Junior Grace Grant had the top showing for Ashland, finishing in a tie for 24th at 77-72-77—226. Grant recorded three birdies on Tuesday and five for the tournament.
 
Sophomore Klaira Paramore shot up the individual board on Tuesday, moving up 18 spots to a tie for 42nd (81-79-72—232, four birdies on Tuesday, seven in the tournament). Junior Emma Conway was next, finishing in a tie for 53rd (81-78-76—235, two Tuesday birdies, six tournament birdies).
 
Freshman LeeAnn Harker finished 75th (82-80-81—243, three Tuesday birdies), and senior Mailiis Simovart was 86th (85-81-87—253, one Tuesday birdie, two for the tournament).
 
Playing as an individual in the tournament was freshman Riley McKenzie, who tied for 29th at 74-77-77—228 (two Tuesday birdies, six for the tournament).
