Ashland Women’s Golf Concludes Play In Florida To Start Spring

On Tuesday (Feb. 20) in Lakeland, Fla., Ashland University's women's golf team finished play in the two-day, 54-hole Lady Moc Golf Classic.
 
Junior Grace Grant made a big move up the individual leaderboard thanks to an even-par 72 on Tuesday, finishing in a tie for 53rd at 81-81-72—234. Grant had four birdies on Tuesday, and seven on the tournament.
 
Sophomore Klaira Paramore tied for 63rd after carding 82-78-76—236 and recording two birdies on Tuesday and three overall, and she was followed by freshman LeeAnn Harker, who was 86th at 81-83-80—244 and had one birdie in the tourney.
 
Junior Emma Conway tied for 94th (84-89-83—256, two birdies on Tuesday), and senior Mailiis Simovart was 96th (91-83-88—262, one tournament birdie).
 
Playing as an individual was freshman Riley McKenzie, who was 97th (93-87-84—264, one Tuesday birdie).
 
Ashland finished in 16th place at 328-325-311—964. Nova Southeastern was the team titlist at 291-297-294—882, followed by Anderson (S.C.) at 301-297-288—886 and Flagler at 294-300-293—887.
