Women’s Tennis Tops Vulcans On The Road

Box Score On Tuesday (Sept. 19), Ashland University's women's tennis team defeated California, Pa., on the road, 4-3.
 
The Eagles are 3-1 so far this fall, while the Vulcans are 1-3.

  • Ashland split the six singles matches on Tuesday, receiving wins from sophomore Anna Corbel at No. 3 (1-6, 6-3, 6-0), junior Kortney Reed at No. 4 (6-4, 6-1) and sophomore Alley Stoehr for the match-clinching victory at No. 5 (2-6, 6-4, 6-4).
  • The Eagles won two of the three doubles matches to earn that win as well – junior Claudia Adcock and Reed at No. 1 (6-2), and sophomore Ana Penteado and Corbel at No. 2 (6-1).

Ashland's women will play host to Mount Union on Saturday (Sept. 23) at noon at the Deborah Liebert Karl Tennis Complex.
