On Sunday (Sept. 17) in Columbus, Ohio, Ashland University's women's golf team moved up from ninth place through Day 1 to a tied-for-fourth-place finish at Ohio Dominican's Champions of Women's Golf tournament.
The Eagles' second-day round of 304 was the second-best on Sunday to the winning Panthers' 301. ODU ended at 301-301—602, two strokes better than second-place Gannon (299-305—604). Glenville State was third at 307-310—617.
NOTABLES
- Sophomore Klaira Paramore was the Eagles' top performer on the weekend, as she finished in a tie for 12th individually at 78-75—153. Paramore had one birdie on Sunday and two during the tournament.
- Junior Grace Grant tied for 15th at 78-76—154, and had three birdies in the tourney, while fellow junior Emma Conway tied for 21st at 79-78—157 and recorded a birdie on Sunday.
- Freshman Riley McKenzie tied for 27th (82-76—158, two Sunday birdies and three overall), senior Mailiis Simovart tied for 35th (82-78—160, one Sunday birdie), and freshman LeeAnn Harker tied for 38th (84-77—161, one Sunday birdie).
- Tiffin's Lisa Marie Schumacher (70-69—139) was the individual medalist.
