The Eagles (5-1) lost 24-2 to Davenport, but came back to the mats for the program's first win against an NCAA Division I opponent, Central Michigan, 14-13.

- In the victory over the Chippewas, junior flyer/tumbler Lily Boldman led the way with 41 points, and got help from sophomore flyer/tumbler Alyssa McLaughlin (36 points), and junior back/base Ashley Amstutz and sophomore flyer/base/tumbler Chloe Colvin (33 points each).
- Ashland led Central Michigan after the first (3-1), second (6-3) and third (8-6) quarters.
