The Eagles have officially concluded the 2026 regular season.
On Sunday, March 22, the Ashland University STUNT team capped off its season with a win and a loss at the Ashland Invite. The Eagles fell in the team's first match of the day, 24-16, to the Michigan State Spartans, before taking down the Central Michigan Chippewas, 28-7.
In the opening game of the day for Ashland, Michigan State took control early, leading 6–4 after the first quarter and extending the advantage to 11–5 by halftime. With the Eagles needing to respond in the second half, they showed a brief sign of life in the third.
Unfortunately, the fourth quarter was where the Spartans were able to pull away just enough to secure the eight-point win, 24-16.
In game two, the Eagles were able to win comfortably, setting themselves up nicely for the upcoming Great Midwest Athletic Conference tournament.
After a strong first half where the Eagles led, 9-4, Ashland continued to control the score, especially in the fourth quarter, where they exploded for 15 points. They looked really strong, taking home a 21-point victory.
With the split results, the Eagles move to 16-7 overall on the campaign. They'll also enter the G-MAC tournament with an 8-2 conference record, with the team's only two losses coming to Davenport University.
Up next, the Eagles will take on the Tiffin Dragons on Saturday, March 28, at 12:15 p.m. EST in Grand Rapids, Mich., for the opening round of tournament action.
