Women’s Golf Concludes Fall Tied For Fifth At Music City Invite

Ending the fall non-championship portion of the 2023-24 schedule on Tuesday (Oct. 31), Ashland University's women's golf team placed in a tie for fifth place at the 12-team Music City Invitational, just outside of Nashville, Tenn.
 
NOTABLES

• The Eagles finished with a team tally of 311-318—629. Lincoln Memorial was the team titlist at 306-300-606, with Carson-Newman second (306-303—609) and Rogers State third (315-300—615).
• Ashland's team play was led by sophomore Klaira Paramore and freshman LeeAnn Harker, each of whom ended in a tie for 16^th place individually. Paramore finished at 78-78—156 and with three birdies on the tournament, and Harker was 79-77—156.
• Junior Emma Conway tied for 19^th at 76-81—157 (one tournament birdie), while senior Mailiis Simovart tied for 30^th at 78-82—160 (one tournament birdie).
• Playing as an individual, freshman Riley McKenzie turned in the best tourney score for an Eagle, placing in a tie for 13^th at 75-80—155, and finishing with four tournament birdies.
• Also played as individuals were senior Paige Lawson (tied for 59^th, 89-82—171, two tournament birdies) and junior Alyson Veverka (67^th, 98-84—182, one tournament birdie).
• Carson-Newman's Hannah Holland was the individual medalist (73-72—145).
