AU Women Third After Opening Round At Music City Invite

The fall-ending 12-team Music City Invitational began on Monday (Oct. 30) just outside of Nashville, Tenn., and Ashland University's women's golf team finished the first 18 holes in third place.

With an opening-round 311, the Eagles trail only Lincoln Memorial and Carson-Newman (306 each) heading into Round 2.

  • Junior Emma Conway paced the AU team effort on Monday with a round of 76, including a birdie on hole No. 3, to be tied for sixth place individually. Sophomore Klaira Paramore (two birdies) and senior Maillis Simovart (one birdie) are tied for 11th with matching rounds of 78.
  • Rounding out the team play for the Eagles were freshman LeeAnn Harker (79, tied for 2nd) and junior Grace Grant (83, tied for 46th, two birdies).
