Maddy Klinger completed her strong showing at Wooster's Eva Shorb Weiskopf Memorial Invitational on Monday (Oct. 2), tying for first place individually before officially finishing in second place due to a tiebreaker.
Klinger's 78-78—156 was tied with Westminster's Sierra Richard at the end of the 36-hole event, but Richard won on the tiebreaker, which was the lower score during Monday's round.
NOTABLES
- Junior Alyson Veverka tied for 12th place individually at 85-81—166, followed by sophomore Alaina Kathrein (tied for 23rd, 85-87—172), senior Paige Lawson (26th, 88-88—176), and junior Sophia Rogowski (tied for 38th, 102-100—202). Kathrein recorded an eagle on the par-5 No. 7.
- Ashland took fifth place as a team at 336-334—670. Wittenberg won (317-331—648), followed by the host Fighting Scots (327-322—649) and Mount Saint Joseph (338-319—657).
