Ashland University's track and field program picked up a third NCAA Division II All-American award in two days on Friday (May 27) at the Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Allendale, Mich.
Sophomore
Noah Koch finished in eighth place in the men's discus throw on Friday, finishing with a top heave of 53.03 meters/173-feet-11 for his second career D-II All-American citation.
The Eagle men have seven team points, and are 19
th after eight scored events. AU's women have four team points, and are tied for 20
th after seven scored events.
In Friday's preliminaries:
- Senior
Aaron Banks finished the men's 200-meter dash in 20.75 seconds to move into Saturday's (May 28) finals. Banks turned in a season-best time, and it was his fourth straight meet with an improved time in the event.
- The men's 4x400 relay quartet of senior

Trevor Bassitt and senior
Channing Phillips turned in the top prelim time of 3:07.94 – a fraction of a second slower than the top D-II time coming into nationals (3:07.83).

McKenna Woodruff and freshman
Mia Gardner finished 14
th in 3:50.63.
