Ashland University's women's golf team played the third and final round of the Findlay Spring Invite on Tuesday (March 22), and the Eagles finished in 12
th place in the 18-team field.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Freshman Grace Grant was AU's top player on the tournament, ending in 40th place at 80-81-79—240. Senior Sophia Lowe followed in a tie for 51st place at 83-79-83. Lowe had two birdies on Tuesday.
- Another rookie, Samantha Webb, tied for 59th (85-82-81—248, two Tuesday birdies); freshman Emma Conway tied for 79th (86-82-89—257); and sophomore Mailiis Simovart was 83rd (91-89-80—260).
- The Eagles ended at 334-324-323—981. The host Oilers (295-294-299—888) and Anderson (294-294-300—888) tied for first place (Findlay won in a playoff), with Grand Valley State (303-308-297—908) placing third.
