Ashland University freshman
Samantha Webb is intent on keeping her name in the Eagle women's golf record book for quite some time.
During the first two rounds of the Findlay Spring Invite on Monday (March 21) in Lexington, Ky., Webb fired her fourth eagle of the 2021-22 season – extending her program records for both a career and a single season after just 13 career rounds.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Freshman Grace Grant paced the AU effort on Monday, tying for 41st place at 80-81—161 (two birdies), while senior Sophia Lowe was right behind in a tie for 45th place (83-79—162 (third birdies).
- Webb is tied for 64th place at 85-82—167, freshman Emma Conway is 68th at 86-82—168 (one birdie), and sophomore Mailiis Simovart is 92nd at 91-89—180 (one birdie).
- Ashland (334-324—658) is 13th in the 18-team field after 36 holes. Anderson is first (294-294—588), followed by Findlay (295-294—589) and Grand Valley State (303-308—611).
