Ashland University's indoor track and field teams capped a strong weekend of competition with four more nationals marks on Saturday (Feb. 12) between the Grand Valley State Big Meet and the Kent State Doug Raymond Invitational.

There were three new and one improved provisional mark for the 2022 NCAA Division II Championships (March 11-12 in Pittsburg, Kan.) on Saturday.

WHAT HAPPENED
- At GVSU, there were three new provisional times. In the women's 400-meter dash, seniors Cheyanne Davis and Rachel Miller both crossed the line first at 56.11 seconds, and with new provos.
- In the men's distance medley relay, the Eagle quartet of seniors Jake Hall, Channing Phillips and Ian Johnson, and junior Nick Ponzi, also gained a new provo in taking sixth place in 9:49.32.
- At Kent State, freshman Sydney Koker improved upon her previous provo in the women's high jump, winning at 1.75 meters/5-feet-8Âľ.
