In the last meets prior to the 2021 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships (May 5-7 in Grand Rapids, Mich.), Ashland University's men's and women's track and field teams picked up six nationals marks on Friday (April 30) at the Hillsdale Outdoor Tune-Up at the Grand Valley State Extra Weekend Meet.

In the men's discus, the Eagles went 1-2 with improved provisional marks for the 2021 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, May 27-29 at Grand Valley State. Freshman
Noah Koch won at 56.03 meters/183-feet-10, while senior
Alex Hill was second at 55.40 meters/181-feet-9.

Cody Patterson won with an improved provo of 58.25 meters/191-feet-1, while in the women's high jump, senior
Ellie Jindra was the winner with an improved provo of 1.74 meters/5-feet-8½.
