Ashland Women Conclude Play At Findlay Fall Classic

Playing in the third and final round on Tuesday (Oct. 5) at Findlay's William Beall Fall Classic, Ashland University's women's golf team finished in last place in the 18-team field.
 
WHAT HAPPENED
  • Freshman Emma Conway led the AU effort, finishing in a tie for 60th at 80-81-84—245. Senior Sophia Lowe was tied for 67th (84-82-82—248), while sophomore Mailiis Simovart tied for 70th (83-85-82—250).
  • Freshman Lindsay Mayo tied for 82nd (90-82-87—259), and freshman Alyson Veverka was 87th (93-81-94—268).
  • Ashland's final team score was 337-326-335—998. Barry won the team title at 299-288-298—885, the host Oilers were second (293-301-293—887), and Grand Valley State was third (300-298-301—899).
  • Individual medalist honors went to Barry's Alice Gotbring (72-74-71—217).
 
UP NEXT
Ashland will play host to the Eagle Invitational on Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 9-10) at the Ashland Golf Club.
