Eagle Women Third After First 18 At Kentucky Wesleyan Invite

Ashland University's women's golf team played its next-to-last round of the 2021 fall season on Saturday (Oct. 30) in Owensboro, Ky., finishing the first day of the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational in third place in the six-team field.
 
WHAT HAPPENED

• The Eagles' team score of 339 on Saturday trails only first-place McKendree (323) and second-place Maryville (329).
• Senior Sophia Lowe paced AU's showing in Round 1 by carding an 82, and is tied for 10^th individually. Following close behind were freshman Emma Conway (83, tied for 14^th), and freshman Grace Grant (85, tied for 16^th).
• Rounding out the Eagle team effort were freshman Samantha Webb and sophomore Maddy Klinger, each sporting an 89 and tied for 21^st.
• Playing as individuals were sophomore Mailiis Simovart (90, tied for 25^th), freshman Lindsay Mayo (93, 29^th) and sophomore Paige Lawson (94, tied for 30^th).
