The Ashland University men's soccer team won its third straight game on Friday (Sept. 28), going to Lake Erie and posting a 2-0 triumph.
The Eagles have won six of their last seven games. Ashland is 6-1-1, 5-1 in the GLIAC. Lake Erie is 2-7 and 1-5 in conference play.
AU broke on top at the 46:27 mark when freshman Eric Ashley (Akron, Ohio/Coventry) scored the first goal of his collegiate career. Neither team could break through again until AU senior Jamie Dollar (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) scored at 62:40. Dollar leads the Eagles in goals (four). The assist on both goals went to junior Guilherme Karaoglan (Santos, Brazil/Bethel University).
Junior Justin Nolan (Medina, Ohio/Medina Highland) had three saves in raising his season record to 5-1.
On Sunday (Sept. 30, 3:30 p.m.), the Eagles will host Notre Dame in a GLIAC encounter.
