For the second time in four years, Ashland University men's soccer has the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year.
As announced by the conference on Thursday (Nov. 13) afternoon, forward
Tom Woodward is the 2025 Great Midwest Freshman of the Year, as well as a first-team all-league selection.
Woodward paced the Eagles in goals (eight), assists (five) and points (21) as a rookie this fall. He had two braces early on, both at Ferguson Field – vs. Millersville on Sept. 7 and vs. Northwood on Sept. 18.
Woodward ranks third in the Great Midwest in goals, is tied for fourth in the circuit in assists, and is second in the G-MAC in points.
Ashland men's soccer ended the 2025 season at 4-9-4 overall and 3-8-3 in the Great Midwest.
