For the Eagles, catcher Mickey Manser (Salem, Ohio/West Branch) rapped an RBI double. Shortstop Matt Gundlach (Monroeville, Ohio/Sandusky Perkins) and third baseman Tyler Gray (Plain City, Ohio/Jonathan Alder) both doubled.
Starting pitcher Brad Thomas (Orrville, Ohio) had to depart in the second inning after suffering an injury on a play at first base. Freshman right-hander Zach Wolfe (Williamsport, Ohio/Westfall) took the loss.
The Eagles are 6-5.
