Box Score On Saturday, April 18 the Ashland University lacrosse team competed against the Findlay Oilers in their final regular season matchup with a final score of 19-7.
The Eagles came out the gate strong as they scored eight goals in the first quarter to take early control of the game. They continued to build off this in the second and third quarters, showing both great offense and defense play.
The Eagles finished with a huge advantage in shots, 44-13, and draw controls, 24-4, which helped them control the pacing from start to finish. The Eagles also moved the ball well as they totals 12 assists on their 19 goals.
Leading the offensive charger was
Rachel Crumbacher with six goals while
Ashley Fisher added four.
Nataley Blackburn also contributed to offensive efforts with three goals.
Defensively, the Eagles forced multiple turnovers and limited the Oilers scoring opportunities, holding them to just seven goals.
Postseason play begins on Saturday, April 25 with time and dates to be announced.
