Men's Basketball Opens New Season With Three Games In Six Days

Ashland University's men's basketball team will open the new 2026-27 season with three games in the season's first week - Monday (Nov. 9) at 7:30 p.m. at Wheeling, Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. vs. Maryville at the Sherrill Hudson Court at Kates Gymnasium, and Nov. 14 at 3 p.m. against Wayne State at home.

"Honestly, I don't know much about any of the teams. That's the thing about early in the year," said Eagle head coach John Ellenwood. "You've got limited film, a lot of people have new rosters. And we're still trying to figure ourselves out, because we have a lot of change in our roster. The generalities of these teams, we know two of them fairly well, and one team, we don't know at all. It's more about you, and you kind of adjust during the game."
